Construction closes section of Lowest Greenville

By Bruce Felps

Just read Unfair Park, which reported that a stretch of Lowest Greenville Avenue, between Bell and Alta avenues, closes to southbound traffic come Monday.

Anyone who’s driven, or walked, down there in recent months has seen the beginnings of transformation brought on by the new planned development district.

The lane closures are scheduled to run from Sept. 26-Oct. 26 — and you know how construction schedules go — and businesses along that section might well feel a pinch beyond what they’ve already experienced.

Keep a thought for Mextopia, Good Records, John’s Café, and any other establishes you prefer when considering a purchase of music, Mexican Food, or breakfast specials.

I better be able to get me a gyro omelet, hold the tomatoes, of course.

The scale and pace of this construction leaves no doubt that the “pinch” on these businesses is intentional.
