The annual St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School carnival stretches across two days this weekend.

Lone STAr, as this year’s installment is dubbed, starts with the big bingo event when doors open at 5:30 p.m., Sept. 16, at the school. In addition to gaming, eating — complete with a corny dog eating and bubble blowing contest — and imbibing, the evening also includes laser tag, music, and games.

The main attraction takes place from noon-9 p.m., Sept. 17, on school grounds. Organizers added adult-sized rides this year to keep everything egalitarian. Can’t let kids have all the fun, you know.

Food and drink will abound as will music — played by local bands RedLine and Factory Seconds — and games, plenty of games, including the football tent.

Raffles, oh yes, raffles, plus the annual STA talent show from noon-6 p.m also are on tap.

Check the official carnival website for a full rundown, and y’all have fun, now, ya hear?
