Organizers with three neighborhood associations and one civic support group — Lakewood Heights, Lower Grenville, Wilshire Heights, and Friends of Tietze Park Foundation — plan to cool things down a bit this weekend in the neighborhood.

Planners have put together this year’s installment of Tietze Splash, the neighborhood pool party at the neighborhood park.

The free all-swim takes place 7-9 p.m., July 30, at Tietze Park, naturally.

Food, refreshments, and music will be available for all, along with water in which to immerse oneself.

The gathering also serves to honor firefighter Chris Hardin, a neighborhood resident who helped resuscitate a 10-year-old girl at Tietze about a month ago.
