Snarling Music

By Bruce Felps

The Granda theater stages its first Gorilla vs. Bear music festival this weekend, and the lineup features a new band comprised of familiar faces.

The show runs from 6-11 p.m., July 23, at the Lower Greenville Avenue venue.

Musical genres include psychedelic, blues, progressive rock, grunge, and likely a few others.

A band called Preteen Zenith makes its debut during the show. The name might not be familiar but a couple of faces are well known in the area. Lakewood residents Tim DeLaughter and wife, Julie Doyle, make up the nucleus of the band, which is considerably smaller in number than Polyphonic Spree.
