Chasing Rabbits

Well, chase one rabbit.

Peter Rabbit makes a return engagement to close out the month at the Dallas Arboretum.

The fuzzy little beastie appears at the East Dallas botanical gardens from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., July 21-31, at the Hoffman Family Gift Store. Bring a camera to chronicle the rare rabbit sighting with the kids.

The Fairy Tale Castles exhibit remains on display, so there’s a bit more of the fantasy world to visit in addition to Peter Rabbit’s Flower Village, which includes stops at the four houses of Peter Rabbit and his friends — Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle, Mrs. Tittlemouse, and Jemima Puddle-Duck.

The castles include renderings of abodes belonging to Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Jack and the Beanstalk, Beauty and the Beast, Rapunzel, the Princess and the Pea, and Mufaro’s Beautiful Daughters, which might prompt the little ones to read books.

Oh, and what kid wouldn’t enjoy a spitting frog? Yup, they’re spewing water at Toad Corners on the Arboretum grounds.

And do, please, pity the poor human who dons the Peter Rabbit costume in 100-degree heat.
