Neighborhood Meet-and-Eat Scheduled

By Bruce Felps

Official meetings conducted by the Lower Greenville Neighborhood Association might be more about the food than the agenda.

LGNA convenes its July meeting at 7 p.m., July 19, inside Glory Be Hall of the Greenland Hills United Methodist Church.

According to the association’s newsletter, “City and state officials and representatives have been invited,” but the real draw for the estimated assemblage of more than 100 neighbors likely will be the food.

Aw Shucks and Blue Goose provide the entrees, and attendees are asked to bring side dishes or desserts.

The event also includes a dessert contest, so fire up those convection ovens.
