This marks a busy week on the Martin Rutchik Concert Stage at the Dallas Arboretum.

Although not the first concert on tap for the next 8 days this week, let’s start with Hard Night’s Day, the Beatles tribute band, which plays at 7 p.m., June 26.

Tickets cost $20.

The concert, officially the 100 and Rockin’ Centennial Concert, closes the White Rock Lake Centennial Celebration, which started back in March. And in the end, the centennial celebration concludes.

Now moving back to chronological order — The Project plays tonight as part of the Concerts in the Garden series at the Arboretum. The band specializes in multi-era dance music ranging from Wilson Pickett to KC and the Sunshine Band to Beyonce.

Blaze of Glory covers Bon Jovi June 23 in a show certain to feature the band’s namesake song along with “Livin’ on a Prayer” and “Who Says You Can’t Go Home.”

Geek-New Wave-‘80s band The Spazmatics takes the stage June 28 and lays down its brand of infectious ‘80s dance music — which melodically always sounded happy, upbeat, and up tempo regardless of the sad tale the lyrics might tell.

The Spazmatics show also includes a costume contest for the best ‘80s attire. Think parachute pants and neon leggings.

The Quebe Sisters Band — western swing, traditional country, and blue grass — close out June.

As with all shows in the Concerts in the Garden series, gates open at 6 p.m. and shows start at 7:30 p.m.

Picnic dinners and coolers are welcome at the shows, and the Arboretum provides ample concessions for people who don’t want to take in their own.

Individual adult tickets cost $9 for Arboretum members and $16 for non-members. Check the website for particulars.
