School’s out now, and families and family members probably need a little something to do together and apart.

People with non-gangrenous green thumbs can compare notes on bountiful gardening from 9-10 a.m., tomorrow, at Promise of Peace Community Garden.

Speaking of gardening, Dallas Water Utilities conducts its annual Water-Wise Landscape Tour from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., tomorrow, based locally at the White Rock Pump Station. Check out native and naturalized Texas plants that thrive with little water, and that’s how your garden can grow.

The White Rock Boathouse provides an introduction to rowing from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., tomorrow, at the boathouse. That has got to be one excellent way to stay in shape.

And of course, we have multiple events tied in to the White Rock Lake Centennial Celebration, including a Fitness Extravaganza from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., tomorrow, at Flagpole Hill; a bus tour cruising the historic sites at the lake departing at 10 a.m., tomorrow, from Ridgewood Belcher rec center and again at 1 p.m., June 5; and finally, go fly a kite during [cough] Kite Festival, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., June 5, at Flagpole Hill.

Dogs and their humans, and this might be a good one for singles, have the opportunity to play and splash around from noon-3 p.m., Sunday, at Dee’s Doggie Den. Bring immunization records — for the dogs, they’ll take the word of the humans — for first-time visitors.

So, busy this weekend?
