Dog Lost, Cat Surrendered

By Bruce Felps

UPDATE: Paulie, the cat described in the second part of this post, has a new home.

Pets in need know no holiday.

A Brussels griffon went missing from his home yesterday and was last seen near Westlake Avenue and West Shore Drive in Lakewood.

His name is Walter Nugget Milici, he’s mostly brown with some black markings, particularly around his muzzle, and he weighs about 12 pounds.

He’s chipped — 985121003022960 — and wearing a red collar with a bone-shaped tag.

Call the HomeAgain hotline at (888) 466-3242 or, better yet, the number on the tag with word on this little guy’s whereabouts.

A white-and-black male cat named Paulie recently was surrendered to the folks at Hillside Veterinary Clinic.

According to the story, a man dropped off the cat and slipped out of the clinic, leaving a note in Paulie’s box explaining the cat belonged to the man’s mother who was unable to care for Paulie.

Paulie is described as maybe 2-3 years old, “the sweetest cat you’ve ever met,” relaxed, laid-back, and cool with other cats. He’s declawed on his front paws, neutered, and negative on tests for all cat diseases.

Contact Hillside clinic to arrange a meeting with Paulie.
