Riding Silently

By Bruce Felps

This year’s installment of Ride of Silence takes place tomorrow evening.

Riders who wish to honor the memories of cyclists killed while on their bikes — and riders injured while biking — gather at about 6:30 p.m., May 18, at the Branchfield-Fisher Road parking lot. The ride starts at 7 p.m.

The procession moves in silence, complete silence, and black arm bands can be worn in memory of the victims or red arm bands to signify personal injury.

Speeds should not exceed 12 mph.
