Organizers of the inaugural Howl at Hillside were kind enough to set up this little community news outlet with a table at the event.

Many thanks to Jane DeNike of Ditto Boutique, who served as co-chairwoman of the event, and all the other minds who pulled it all together.

It benefited the White Rock Lake Centennial Celebration and White Rock Dog Park.

It also benefited homeless dogs. About half a dozen rescue and adoption groups brought out adoptable canines, and last I heard, toward the conclusion of the event, 20 dogs found new homes that day.

And that, right there, that made it one successful day.
