Talking Crime

By Bruce Felps

After Saturday, we might or might not have a new mayor depending on whether one of the four candidates pulls in a deciding majority of the vote or we end up with a runoff.

One way or the other, though, the Ferguson Road Initiative — part of The Dallas Weed and Seed Coalition, which includes West Dallas Weed and Seed and Pleasant Grove Weed and Seed — presents A Conversation on Crime, 6:30-8:30 p.m., May 19, at St. Luke “Community” United Methodist Church, along Interstate 30 just off East Grand Avenue.

The meeting involves either the mayor-elect or the remaining runoff candidates, crime in the East Dallas area, and what steps are and should be taken to curtail said crime.

Informative stuff.
