Peter Comes Hopping Back

Peter Rabbit makes a return engagement at this year’s Summer at the Arboretum festival featuring Peter Rabbit’s Flower Village.

The Beatrix Potter character and his furry, flowery little storybook buddies will populate the village in topiary form, including a 15-foot tall version of the rabbit star.

An animated personification — is that the right word for a rabbit? — makes a photo-opp appearance every hour on the hour, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., May 1-12, inside the Hoffman Family Gift Store on weekdays and the Ginsburg Plaza on weekends.

The flower village includes interpretations of the houses of Peter Rabbit, Squirrel Nutkin, Mrs. Tittlemouse, and Jemima Puddleduck, and that is just too cute.

Mondays at the Arboretum, or Family Fun Mondays as they prefer to call them, run from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., May 2-July 25, and include a petting zoo and face painting.

So check out the bunny trail and scope a little cottontail.
