The Young Strikers, a team of virtual bowlers sponsored by C.C. Young retirement center, last weekend moved on to open its challenge in the National Senior League Wii bowling championship tournament.

The team joins the Serious 64 — hey, March Madness and all that — round, which officially opens the playoffs after the qualifying round.

Their next match rolls off at 1 p.m., April 6, and can be seen at the Point, Center for Arts and Education on the campus of C. C. Young.

The Young Strikers have made it through seven weeks of play against 323 teams from across the country to advance to the playoffs. The official NSL bracket is available online.

The playoffs continue for 10 more weeks before coming to the finals in October.
