Making Art Ageless

By Bruce Felps

The annual art showing and contest Art is Ageless — kind of the anti-Dorian Gray — returns next weekend to the C.C. Young retirement center for its 12th run.

The show features artworks created by C.C. Young residents and members of the East Dallas community 55 years and older. It opens at 2 p.m., April 9, at The Point, Center for Arts and Education.

This year’s installment includes 94 pieces by 63 artists competing in nine categories.

A refreshment reception and art show opens at 1 p.m., and the program begins at 2 p.m. For more information or to reserve a seat, call (214) 841-2834 or visit the C.C. Young website.

The Art is Ageless art show will be on display at The Point from April 7–May 5.
