J.L. Long Middle School, the Dallas ISD, and its associated police department tomorrow evening present a special seminar on bullying.

The presentation, called “Bullying in the Schools: What are the Signs? How Can I Prevent It?,” takes place during a parents meeting, 5:30 p.m., March 24, in the school auditorium.

Meanwhile, the Long PTA earlier this week launched a supply drive to help replenish basic class supplies — dry board pens and erasers, copy paper, lots of copy paper, pens, and pencils — for teachers because, well, you know, the district and state can’t afford such items. Drop off donations at the school office. The drive runs through April 1.

Finally, in a stroke of extreme smarts, the Long Expectations choir will conduct a fundraising car wash from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., March 26, at the YMCA at White Rock. The car wash runs during the big garage sale benefiting Woodrow’s class of 2013, which also takes place at the Y.

Drop off the ride to get cleaned while browsing the garage sale.
