Sprucing Up the Bath

By Bruce Felps

The basement of the Bath House Cultural Center this week receives something of a makeover courtesy of the Friends of the Bath House Cultural Center and art students from Booker T. Washington High School for the Visual and Performing Arts.

The students submitted designs for a mural depicting the 100 years of White Rock Lake history. The Friends board members selected one design, on which the students are working this week during spring break.

It all falls under the category of Bath House Mural Painting Project, and the mural in the Bath House basement should be completed by about week’s end and ready for public viewing throughout the White Rock Lake Centennial Celebration.
