Applying barometric pressure

By Bruce Felps

Now that we’ve survived Super Storm ’11 — or maybe that should be Super Storm XLV — which kind of zigzagged its way through and around local forecasts, I thought it a good idea to add a look into our collective atmospheric future.

There’s a new link in the middle column of the page, the one reading “Weather,” that links to the regional outlook as forecast by the National Weather Service, probably the most reliable source around.

No doubt it will come in handy more than once during the year.

  1. Hey thanks for this convenient link, Bruce.

I regularly visit this page. My favorite is clicking on “Forecast Discussion”.

It’s written in ‘meteorologist/aviator’ speak, but the jargon is easily defined by clicking hyperlinks to their dictionary.

It’s a great way to get very recent weather updates, as it’s intended for pilots.
