Strong character, as recognized by the Exchange Club of Lake Highlands, again emerged from Lake Highlands High School during the club’s Jan. 28 meeting.

Deondre Glover and Tuan Iang earned last month’s Character Counts awards voted by the LHHS faculty and staff based on the students’ exceptional character traits.

Iang’s favorite classes include pre-advanced placement calculus, AVID, and anatomy and physiology. She plans to use the latter two interests while studying premed after high school graduation.

Glover enjoys English class and playing football. “When I am not on the football field I am a quiet and shy,” he said. “I care about other people’s feelings and try to help those in need.”

Each student received a plaque and NorthPark Gold gift certificates in recognition of his and her outstanding character.

The strong character just keeps on coming out of Lake Highlands High School.
