Providing Cultural Hospitality

Woodrow Wilson High School has a history, sorry, tradition of fostering cross-cultural international good will through trips abroad taken by the French and Spanish classes to the countries of those respective native tongues.

Exchange students from Germany have studied at Woodrow and visiting teachers from Spain have taught at the neighborhood school.

Exchange students have been exchanged as well.

The global taste increased at Woodrow with the introduction of the International Baccalaureate program.

Now, the Woodrow community has a chance to welcome 10 French students and two of their English class teachers during a two-week exchange trip they make to Dallas.

They visit from mid-April through the end of the month, and need host families here.

Check out the Friends of America Cultural Exchanges, FACES, website for more information and to apply as a host family.
